South Calgary just welcomed two brand-new parks and a pump track, and more is on the way in 2026, including Calgary’s tallest slide.

Before we get into what’s coming, let’s discuss what you can already check out and enjoy, shall we?

The communities of Legacy and Creekview in south Calgary just scored big on their outdoor play scene, with two brand-new parks and a new pump track officially opening to the public.

Calgary-based WestCreek Developments unveiled three new community spaces earlier this month, expanding on its commitment to building spaces that encourage movement, social connection and imaginative play for all ages and abilities.

The biggest new feature is the one-third-acre Legacy pump track. It features drops, rollers, berms, jumps and speed sections. The track was designed to be suitable for everyone, from beginners to advanced riders.

Right next door, kids can check out Purple Park, which features a variety of play structures including a unity swing with hoopla and basket seats, a double glide slide and agility-driven features designed to build coordination, balance and confidence.

In the neighbouring community of Creekview, WestCreek Developments just opened the neighbourhood’s first playground, Lazy Leaf Park. The park features equipment tailored to both toddlers and older children, designed to support cognitive growth, balance and imaginative play.

The developments don’t stop there. In 2026, WestCreek Developments plans to open Fish Park in the community of Wolf Willow. The new park is set to feature Calgary’s tallest tower and slide complex, reaching a massive 3.5 storeys tall. Radio Park in West District currently holds that title, debuting its record-breaking slide earlier this year.

Fish Park will also include Calgary’s first engineered-wood playground system and have direct access to the Bow River, connecting the community to Fish Creek Park.

The playground will also feature a smaller thematic experiential play area for toddlers and young families.

After the construction of Fish Park, WestCreek Development will have contributed a total of 16 playgrounds across the three communities.
