A massive new 18,000 sq. ft. thermal spa is coming to downtown Calgary
If you’ve been looking for a spa day in downtown Calgary, a new option is currently in the works, and it’s set to be the largest of its kind in the city.
Forum Thermal, which will be located on the corner of 5th Street and 10th Avenue SW, is set to be Calgary’s largest architecturally-driven urban thermal spa.
The new spa will span 18,000 sq. ft. and feature six signature pools, three saunas and two steam rooms. If a city skyline view is on your spa bucket list, Forum Thermal will have an exterior thermal pool that wraps around the south, west and north terraces.

“This is a space for return rather than retreat. A space where the city is framed and admired. A space to come back to yourself,” its website states.
While there is no exact opening date for the spa, it is expected to open in late 2026, so spa-goers won’t have to wait too long before they can enjoy this inner-city retreat.

This isn’t the only spa in the works near Calgary. Earlier this year, Everwild, which already operates a Nordic spa in Canmore, announced two new locations, one in the heart of Banff and another in Harmony, which is set to be one of the largest spas in North America, covering 5.5 acres across more than 180,000 sq. ft.
