One man deceased after motorhome explosion in Calgary

On Thursday, April 23, at approximately 4 pm, fire crews responded to multiple calls of an explosion at an RV storage facility located at the 1400 block of 210 Avenue SW.

On arrival, the fire was already put out and one man was pronounced deceased by EMS.

Fire crews also found a large debris field with parts that appeared to be from a motorhome and at least six other trailers and campers that had sustained damage. A passing car was also reported to have been hit by debris.

Calgary fire investigators and Calgary police arson detectives are working together to determine the cause.
