5 Calgary neighbourhoods that are the most expensive to buy a house in

A September real estate report just revealed Calgary’s most expensive neighbourhoods, and four of them have houses going for over $1 million.
The digital real estate platform Wahi just released its September 2025 report, showing both the priciest and most affordable neighbourhoods in the city as of last month.
Here are the five most expensive neighbourhoods in Calgary as of September:
- Elbow Park, with a median sold price of $2,950,000
- Hillhurst, with a median sold price of $1,225,000
- Altadore, with a median sold price of $1,199,500
- West Hillhurst, with a median sold price of $1,165,900
- Richmond, with a median sold price of $945,100

Wahi
Elbow Park took the top spot on the list with a median sold price of just under $3 million, coming in much higher than last month’s leader, Willow Park, which recorded a median sold price of $1,307,000.

Altadore climbed the rankings, moving from fifth place last month to third this month. The neighbourhood saw a notable increase in its median sold price, rising from $950,000 in August to just under $1.2 million in September.
Wahi also highlighted the least expensive areas in Calgary, with five neighbourhoods recording median sold prices below $300,000.
Here are the five least expensive neighbourhoods in Calgary as of September:
- Windsor Park, with a median sold price of $222,500
- Haysboro, with a median sold price of $245,000
- Bankview, with a median sold price of $261,250
- Rundle, with a median sold price of $272,500
- Lower Mount Royal, with a median sold price of $285,000

Last month, Bankview made the top of the list as Calgary’s least expensive neighbourhood with a median sold price of $206,500, seeing a notable increase this month.
