As recommended by health officials, if you choose to participate in events outside of your home, please adhere to COVID-19 health and safety measures, including proper physical distancing, mask-wearing, and frequent handwashing. If you are sick, please stay home.

If you’re a fan of both animals and puzzles, then you’re going to love this event.

The Calgary Zoo is hosting the first-ever daytime edition of their escape experience, Locked Zoo, on March 6, and the name of the game is “Penguin Pursuit.”

The outdoor-only event runs from noon to 5 pm, with staggered entries – however, the game itself isn’t timed. You can rush to find clues, solve puzzles, and save the day, or take your time visiting the zoo animals and conquer the challenge at your leisure.

The Zoo encourages players to add some extra fun by dressing as a team in coordinating outfits, shirts, or accessories, but be aware that full-body costumes, full face masks, and blow-up costumes can’t be worn on zoo grounds.

The puzzles may be a little tricky, so keep in mind that this experience is tailored towards teenagers and adults.

Players even have the option of adding a yummy lunch box to their day, and choices include short rib mac and cheese, crispy chicken and waffles, a smokehouse pulled pork sandwich, or a deluxe Beyond Meat vegan burger.
