A massive indoor bike park and action sports facility is being planned for the Calgary area, with developers aiming to open the doors in early 2027.
UNREAL is described as “one of the largest indoor bike and action sports complexes in North America” and will span around 155,000 sq. ft. across two levels, along with more than 40,000 sq. ft. of outdoor terrain.
If that size comes to fruition, it will easily eclipse the current holder of the largest indoor bike facility in Canada, located in Markham, Ont., at 102,000 sq. ft. It would easily surpass the largest indoor bike park in Western Canada, which is in Maple Ridge, B.C.
The park is designed to cater to all skill levels, from beginners and kids to advanced riders and pros. It will feature 20 different zones and spaces, including a mountain bike zone, BMX and race training zone, skatepark, pro event hosting space and athlete dorms and guest lodging.

Plans also include on-site amenities such as retail, a pro shop, repair services, food and beverage options, and gathering spaces for visitors and athletes.Â
“It’s not a warehouse of ramps; it’s a world-class landmark that will define year-round action sports for decades,” the website states.Â

The $30 million project is set to welcome over 250,000 guests per year and provide over 80 youth employment opportunities across hospitality, retail, operations, coaching, and event management.
According to its website, the project kicked off in April 2025 and has since seen development and building permits submitted and approved by Rocky View County. Foundation work is set to begin next month, with construction continuing through the summer. It’s set to open in Q1 of 2027.
