If you’re attending a Calgary Flames game, you may want to think twice before wearing an opposing team’s jersey in the front row.
It’s become known amongst Flames fans this season that when Rasmus Andersson scores a goal, he’s going to find a fan in an opposing jersey to stare down.
The 28-year-old was able to score his biggest goal of the season last night in a massive 4-3 overtime win against the Seattle Kraken, and very fittingly, found a fan in the stands to look at during his increasingly popular celebration.

The celebration has been on display for nearly all of Andersson’s goals this season. It’s gotten quite the attention from Flames faithful, which made it fitting that the fan on the receiving end was gifted a, “Rasmus Andersson stared at me,” T-shirt a short time later.

Kadri comes up clutch
Also coming up big for the Flames in the massive win was Nazem Kadri. The 34-year-old was able to pot two goals, including the overtime winner, which happened to mark the 300th tally of his career.
“I almost forgot about that in the back of my mind, but [Jonathan Huberdeau] was quick to remind me after the game,” Kadri said. “I’m sure I’m going to have to put a few bucks on the board for next game. It’s a lot of goals. I’ve been fortunate enough to play alongside some great players. To step up for your teammates, there’s really no better feeling than that.”

As clutch as the former Stanley Cup champion was in this one, it didn’t stop another Flames veteran from giving him a light-hearted jab when speaking postgame.
“He’s an old dug, huh?” Blake Coleman said with a grin. “Some guys just have that clutch gene, that it gene. They want the puck on their stick in a big moment. They’ve got that calmness and poise with it to make the play that they need to make. When I say that guys are hungry to win and push for this playoff race, he’s right at the front of it.”
With the win, the Flames were able to remain four points behind the St. Louis Blues with three games in hand. They’ll look to narrow that gap on Thursday versus the Dallas Stars.
