A big win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday gave the Calgary Flames reason to celebrate, and they certainly did so.
Following Sunday’s 3-2 win over the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Flames embraced the spooky season by throwing a Halloween party which featured plenty of creative and flat-out hilarious costumes.

As the photo shows, seemingly everybody on the roster was in attendance, and all appeared to have put some serious thought and effort into their costumes.
One that stands out right away is Yegor Sharangovich and his wife, Darya. The Flames winger, known as “Sharky,” fittingly dressed up as a Shark, while Darya dressed as a fisherwoman.
Sharangovich wasn’t the only shark in attendance, either, as Zayne Parekh can be spotted in the front of the photo in a very similar costume.
Also having quite a bit of fun were Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost. The two chose to team up with their costumes, with Frost going as the Joker, while Farabee dressed as Batman.

Not to be outdone by his younger teammates, captain Mikael Backlund also joined in on the fun with his wife, Frida. The two dressed in costumes a young audience would appreciate, as Backlund dressed as Bowser, while Frida was Princess Peach.

Perhaps the best costumes of the night, however, belonged to Adam Klapka and Martin Pospisil.
The Flames’ two most intimidating forwards had many fans laughing after sharing pictures that showed them dressed as Gru and Vector from Despicable Me. The same photo, which Klapka uploaded, also shows Sam Honzek as Super Mario while Simon Nemec appears to be dressed in a Lederhosen outfit.

Though wins have already proven to be difficult to come by for this rebuilding Flames team, it has been said time and time again just how close a group they are. That tightness in the locker room will be extremely beneficial when it comes to this team transitioning into a Stanley Cup contender in the years to come.
