Alberta Ballet: Joni Mitchell’s The Fiddle & The Drum
What: The 10th anniversary of Joni Mitchell’s The Fiddle & The Drum. The Fiddle & The Drum gives passionate expression to Mitchell’s lifelong concern with the issues of conflict, violence and humanity’s continuing devastation of the environment. Alberta Ballet dancers depict Mitchell’s most famous characters from her lyrics and artwork, at times in counterpoint, abstractly illustrating fragile hope and potential for the creation of beauty.

Calgary Performing Arts Festival
What: The Calgary Performing Arts Festival is an integral part of the Calgary arts community, encouraging classical and contemporary music and speech arts performance among amateur students of all ages and skill levels. Featuring 12,000 performers in 19 categories over 21 days.

Dine Under The Stars — Soiree In The Valley
What: Soiree in the Valley, billed as a garden dinner pop up, is hosted by Dinner4Four Co. The event, which runs for 30 days at a time, promises an elegant four-course menu offered with wine, all while you’re being served in all-weather Garden Domes. The Calgary pop-up will be located at the Native Gardens in Fish Creek Park, with dinner provided by Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant and Great Events Catering.

California Wine Fair
What: Wine lovers have an opportunity to sample premium and super-premium wines from over 90 vintners. This is an all-inclusive, walk-around event with all samples included in the ticket price, no additional coupon purchase required. Participants gain full access to an incredible selection of California wines at pouring stations throughout the venue, while enjoying a delectable hors d’oeuvres menu created under the direction of Oliver & Bonacini Executive Chef, Ryan O’Flynn. Wordfest presents Kristen Worley
