What: The 55th annual Scotiabank Calgary Marathon is an official Boston Marathon qualifier. It starts and finishes at iconic Stampede Park and winds through a scenic course in the heart of Calgary.

What: Calgarians take the stage and tell stories of miscommunication in a dynamic competition to find the master storyteller. Stories are (mostly) true, first-person narratives about things that have happened and are five minutes long.

Meet the Baby ‘Roos at Cobb’s Adventure Park 2019
What: Cobb’s Adventure Park in Calgary is giving visitors the chance to be the first to meet, pet, and hold their adorable brand new baby kangaroos and wallabies. The park offers a wide variety of rides, games, and activities for all ages with a kangaroo petting zoo, climbing wall, bouncy houses, pedal carts, tractor rides, giant slides, archery tag, and much more. You can even book a kangaroo visit for your birthday party, classroom, or office during their offseason. For $250/hour they bring two baby joeys and three sugar gliders to your birthday party, classroom, or office.

Alexander Keith’s Lobster Boil
What: Rodney Oyster House’s Annual Maritime Lobster Boil with Alexander Keith’s. Ticket includes a welcome pint of Keith’s, a 1.25lb lobster flown in live from Misty Harbour, New Brunswick, Corn on the Cob, Potato Salad and Home Made Apple Pie, along with live music, new friends and messy hands. This is a shared family style dining experience.

Big Rock Craft Beer Calgary Brewing Workshop
What: During this hands-on, 2½-hour session, you’ll earn amateur brewmaster status as you mill, mash, sparge, boil, cool, pitch, ferment and package your way to hand-crafted beer greatness with the expertise of a Calgary brewery. A small snack and samples of the type of beer that you are brewing will be provided at the event. Eight weeks later, you’re invited to return to Heritage Park and pick up a bottle of your very own craft beer creation. Led by professional brewmaster Alan Yule.
