International Circus Under the Big Top
What: The International Circus Under the Big Top is coming to Calgary. Children and adults will be mesmerized as they witness an internationally renowned cast that features the catapulting strength and artistry of the Dragmir Troop, an out of this world laser light experience that combines the lights and high energy music of Eduardo the Lazerman, the Belarus Triple Eagles defying the laws of gravity from high above the arena floor, zany Circus Clowns, and much more.

What: The Cochrane Farmers’ Market in partnership with the Historic Downtown Cochrane businesses invite you to experience a unique shopping experience in Historic Downtown Cochrane. Movies at the Meadows
What: Enjoy Hollywood hits at Spruce Meadows this summer, with movies being featured on Thursday, August 8 and Thursday, August 15 on the All Canada Ring. There will also be children activities, live entertainment, and food available.

GlobalFest – USA
What: Celebrate a variety of international cultures that represent Calgary’s cultural diversity and arts excellence, with a multicultural marketplace, live entertainment, and a spectacular firework show put on by a different country each night. August 15 features fireworks by USA.

Secret Cinema
What: Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers’ Secret Cinema is curated by Heritage Park this month, and features a Western classic and two silent comedy shorts on 16mm. The title of the film will not be revealed until showtime.

Canmore Mountain Market
What: The Canmore Mountain Market is a summer tradition in Canmore for over twenty years operating every Thursday from May to October. Visitors and locals are treated to an excellent selection of locally and regionally produced items including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, jams, coffee, and baked goods. The Market also offers unique crafts, clothing, jewellery, and other artisanal products. Patrons can experience the Market rain or shine, sip on a coffee, peruse the vendors, and enjoy the live local music – all with a beautiful mountain backdrop.
