Heroes and Villains

What: Heroes and Villains: a sneak-peek inside the studio, is the first chance for audiences to get a look at Imagine Performing Arts’ brand new Disney revue. With 35 songs spanning over 80 years, this production takes audiences on a journey through the wonderful worlds, characters and songs, plus the life and struggles of Walt Disney himself.

Ice Magic Festival Banff 2019

Ice Magic Festival (Banff Tourism)

What: The Ice Magic Festival hosts 10 teams of two in a competition to create the most stunningly shiny work of frozen art. The artwork will then be on display until the end of the festival on January 27, accompanied by live DJs and nighttime lighting displays. Snowshoeing, skiing, ice skating, and sleigh riding could also fill your days – while you aren’t sitting cozily by the fire, that is – as Banff is home to many great wintertime activities.

Crawlspace

Penguin Walk at the Calgary Zoo

What: 2019 marks the seventh year of the Calgary Zoo Penguin Walk. The king penguin colony heads out on zoo grounds for a daily enrichment walk in the winter months and visitors get to experience the fun. This program allows visitors to get an up-close look at the group of King Penguins as they explore, exercise, and waddle their way through the zoo. This is a free-choice activity for the penguins, and is subject to weather conditions.
