Owen Hart Foundation presents Jerry Seinfeld

What: The Owen Hart Foundation celebrates its 20th Anniversary with two special performances by Jerry Seinfeld on October 18 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Seinfeld was catapulted to stardom in the 90s with the success of his now legendary sitcom Seinfeld. Since the show ended its nine-year run in 1998, Seinfeld returned to stand-up comedy and in 2009, began a successful web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Boobyball Presents: Into The Ocean

What: Taking place on October 18 at The Palace, the giant party aims to raise funds for Rethink Breast Cancer’s programs, spread awareness about breast cancer prevention, and provide support for individuals under 40.

This year’s Into The Ocean theme speaks to the volumes of young people affected by breast cancer and acknowledges their feelings of isolation and being lost at sea. This year’s motif will see the nationwide events awash in all things aquatic. Guests will be transported into the deep blue in where they will be treated to an evening of themed beverages, treats and guest experiences all set to a soundtrack of top tunes.

Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival Calgary 2019

What: The Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival returns to YYC on October 18 and 19 at Calgary’s Stampede Park BMO Centre. This year, the event will feature over 40 restaurants, more than 200 wines, and hundreds of beers, ciders, and spirits, all under one roof. This is Alberta’s largest and most anticipated wine and food event, with hundreds of booths and over 25,000 guests participating each year.

What: The parkade level of New Horizon Mall transforms into over 20,000 square feet of terrifying characters, sets, and props for Halloween. Haunted Calgary features three spooky attractions and a Family Frights Thrill Zone for all ages. Partial proceeds will be donated to local charity.

Adult-only date night at Butterfield Acres 2019

What: Butterfield Acres has reserved select dates this month for child-free fun, offering an 18+ night at the patch for those looking to find a suitable pumpkin in peace. The official date night event starts at 5 pm (which is also when the farmyard will open for visits with animals) though the pumpkin hunt won’t begin until 6:15 pm. Participants will be able to take a sunset tractor ride out to the patch where you’ll be able to hunt down the most picture-perfect soon-to-be-Jack-o-Lantern, which you’ll be able to carve up shortly after.
