Founders Calgary Vol. 02: Building an A Team

What: To shine light on the struggles and support the movers and the shakers in our community, HELCIM and The Ace Class have collaborated to present Founders, a curated series designed for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs. From idea to execution, Founders will showcase first-hand insight of the highs and lows that go along with running your own show. Expect panel discussions with industry leaders and seasoned entrepreneurs with plenty of time for Q&A so you can fire off those burning questions.

Calgary’s Official Poetry Slam featuring David Silverberg

What: Calgary’s Official Poetry Slam and Open Mic welcomes David Silverberg, a spoken word poet, educator, journalist, editor and founder/artistic director of Toronto Poetry Slam. He has performed his spoken word poetry across Canada and as well as Paris and London. His next book of poetry will be published by ChiZine in 2019, and he debuted his first solo show Jewnique in 2018.

Dinner + A Movie at Heritage Park

What: Dine on a movie-themed, three-course dinner at the Selkirk Grille before heading over to Gasoline Alley Museum to enjoy Moulin Rouge on the big screen.
