Charges have been laid following multiple arson attempts on a school in southeast Calgary.

Just days after police released a plea for information on youth witnessed shooting flaming arrows and throwing Molotov cocktails at St. Isabella Elementary Junior High School, four youth came forward to police, along with their parents.

Three of the suspects were interviewed and released without charges, but the fourth, a 15-year-old boy,  has been charged on four counts of public mischief and one count of shooting an arrow in a public place, according to a release from the Calgary Police Service.

Police have also determined that a fifth arson attempt, which took place within the same span of days at McKenzie Lake School, was not related to these incidents.
