A one-of-a-kind bakery, specializing in cookies, has closed its doors, almost three years after opening.

Biscettes, a firm favourite for delicious cookies, shared the sad news that it has closed its doors, having powered down the ovens on Oct. 30.

From the team behind another staple for baked goods, Sweet Relief, Biscettes quickly became known for its epic selection of cookies, large in size and with tons of unique options such as apple crumble cheesecake and banana brownie.

It also dished out some even wilder creations such as its “glazies,” which were essentially cookie-stuffed donuts and cookie cups.

Luckily for fans of Biscettes, the cookies will still be available at Sweet Relief alongside cakes, decorated sugar cookies, and desserts.

As for what’s next for the space, the Biscettes team revealed that the location at 1516 6th St. SW is in the safe hands of Sweet Life Bake Co., which aims to open in mid-November.
