Forget oil; it’s the tech industry that’s booming in Calgary.
Indeed, the hug job-finding website that operates in over 60 countries around the world, has just released their list of the 10 best jobs in Calgary by determining the growth in opportunity for jobs with an annual salary of at least $70,000.
What they found was an increase in postings for tech-related careers, with more than half of the top 10 list being in some way linked to technology.
“Calgary’s tech scene is growing and the demand for tech talent is skyrocketing,” said Jodi Kasten, managing director at Indeed Canada, in the release.
“Making up half our list, our data uncovers that, in Calgary, the best jobs right now are tech-related as companies look to transform into digital versions of themselves and new tech start-ups hit the scene.”
The list was created by looking at the average growth from January 2014 to December 2017, and the salaries listed are the national average yearly salary for each position over the past two years.
