An affordable trip to the other side of the world is finally possible — without breaking the bank, that is.
According to a recent post from flight deal-finding website YYC Deals, you can catch a plane on its way out to Beijing, China for just $549 this fall. The cost of these flights typically start around $800 and go up from there, so this a deal can help leave more than a few Yuan in your pocket.

The flights are one stop each way, taking a short stopover at Vancouver International Airport before making their way across the Pacific.
Seeing as YVR has consistently been praised as one of the most beautiful airports in the world, we’re sure that a few hours there will be easy enough to stomach.
The flights are being offered in late October, November and December of this year, meaning that an escape during some of Calgary’s dreariest months is a definite possibility.
All you need to do, according to the YYC Deals post, is head onto Google Flights, search for trips from Calgary to Beijing during those months, and click on the dates that offer $549 roundtrip.
There are quite a few to choose from, so you’ll be able to be a bit flexible when taking the time off for the trip.
