Three Alberta spots named best in Canada to see this iconic animal

Bear sightings in Alberta are not uncommon, and many of the province’s national parks are home to these iconic animals.
The Times of India just released their list of the best national parks for epic bear sightings, and three Alberta locations made the list.
Banff took the top spot on the list, being noted for its “turquoise lakes and Pinterest-worthy peaks.” Black and Grizzly bears are often spotted wandering through the forest or meadows, and even getting scared by dogs in some campgrounds, too.

Banff is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It’s well known for its gorgeous hikes, picturesque mountains, and breathtaking views. Its well-maintained trails and proximity to Calgary make it a hot spot for travellers wanting to get out and explore what the Rocky Mountains have to offer.
Waterton National Park found itself in spot number three on the list. While Wateron is quite small compared to other national parks, it has a lively bear population. You will often find them exploring the alpine lakes or snacking on the many wildflowers in the park.

Waterton is a stunning national park located in the very south of Alberta, bordering Montana. It is the fourth smallest national park in Canada, and the smallest in the Rockies, but it makes up for it with its captivating charm. Visitors can enjoy its mix of prairies, forests, and mountain landscapes, as well as the charming town that sits in the park.
Jasper National Park took the eighth spot on the list. Grizzly bears are commonly seen throughout the park, along with black bears and other wildlife such as moose and elk.

Jasper National Park has been named one of the best places to visit in Canada, due to its more remote and tranquil vibe compared to other national parks such as Banff. Jasper National Park is a great destination for people looking to explore the great outdoors with fewer people around.
