Amber alert update: 5-year-old Calgary girl last seen with a 'stocky, black male'

The Calgary Police have released new information regarding the suspicious death of Sara Baillies in Panorama, and amber alter issued early Tuesday morning for her daughter, Taliyah Leigh Marsman.

In a release, Police ruled Sara Baillie’s death a homicide but the cause of her death has not been confirmed.

CCTV footage from Sunday, July 10 around 5:30 pm shows the victim Sara Bailie and her 5-year-old daughter Taliyah Leigh Marsman at a Dairy Queen restaurant. The footage shows Bailie speaking with a family at the DQ located at 66 Sandarac Drive NW and Police are now looking identify the family seen.

Community members in Panorama reported seeing a girl matching Marsman’s description on Monday, July 11 at approximately 11:30 am. The girl was seen with a “stocky, black male,” around the area where Bailie’s vehicle was located, close to Panamount Boulevard NW. Witnesses say the girl was wearing red or pink boots with white polka dots and was carrying a reddish-coloured suitcase.

Anyone who believes they have seen Marsman are asked to contact 9-1-1 immediately.
