Hungry for pancakes, eggs, and some full-time employment on the side?

Amazon will be hosting a Stampede breakfast this Saturday, but attendees will come away with more than just full bellies, as there will also be workers on hand to discuss the potential positions soon to open for the new fulfillment centre in Balzac.

The breakfast will be held at the Genesis Centre on Saturday, July 14, and will run from 9 am to noon.

“Come join the team and be part of making history with Amazon,” a Twitter ad for the breakfast reads.

“We are hiring full-time warehouse associates soon to work a variety of shifts. Join us at the upcoming Pancake Breakfast to meet the Amazonians and learn more about our opportunities.”

Amazon’s new fulfillment centre in Balzac is nearing completion, and more than 1,000 full-time positions will be filled once the centre becomes operational, according to a recent release from Amazon.

The jobs will provide benefits that will include medical, dental, stock options, and performance-based raises. 200 jobs have already been created during the construction of the facility.

“Amazon is already supporting the creation of hundreds of construction jobs before the building even opens,” said Amazon Regional Operations Director Vibhore Arora in the release.

“We’re grateful to the local businesses and services who have provided their expertise, skills, and dedication to creating this new fulfillment center.”
