“Canada is a dream solo travel destination with vast wilderness, vibrant cities, stunning national parks, and welcoming multicultural communities,” the publication said.
It looked at three categories to evaluate solo travel destinations: safety and security, budget and affordability, and female solo traveller friendliness.
For security and safety, Canada was praised for its peaceful environment, friendly communities, reliable services, and safe cities suitable for solo travel.

When it comes to budget and affordability, the report noted that while Canada can be expensive, solo travellers can manage costs by relying on hostels, public transit, budget stays, and free outdoor attractions.
Finally, for female solo traveller friendliness, Canada was rated as highly suitable due to its emphasis on personal safety, a respectful culture, easy navigation, and a well-developed tourism infrastructure.
Toronto took the top spot, followed by Vancouver, Montreal, and Quebec City. The U.S. came in first place for Travel and Tour World’s top 50 best solo travel destinations in the world.
The list was created by looking at factors including safety, affordability, accessibility, transportation, solo-female traveller friendliness, tourism infrastructure, cultural experiences, adventure opportunities, and sustainability. Travel and Tour World also used input from 25 million readers to compile the ranking.
