RCMP in a town just south of Calgary are looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect seen ripping down and taking a Pride flag from a home over the weekend.
High River RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying the male suspect responsible for the theft of a pride flag.
Mounties say that at approximately 11 p.m. on July 13, 2025, a man walked up to a residence in southeast High River. While walking up the walkway to the residence, he appeared to make a “Sieg Heil” gesture, also known as a Nazi salute, before ripping the displayed Pride flag from the front porch railing.
As the suspect then turned and walked away, he made a rude gesture, and in a video supplied by RCMP of the incident, the man is seen walking up to the home while raising his right arm up in the air, before snatching the flag from the home and walking away, briefly flashing his middle finger in the process.
The suspect appears to be a male, slender in build, and he was wearing a light coloured hoodie and dark pants.
