Premier Jason Kenney to provide COVID-19 update this afternoon

The Premier of Alberta will provide a live update on COVID-19 on Thursday afternoon.

A release from the Province of Alberta notes that Premier Jason Kenney will hold a livestreamed press conference at 4 pm MST to update the province on the work being done to protect public health.

The premier will be joined by Dr. Deena Hinshaw, the Chief Medical Officer of Health.

Alberta reported 1,123 new COVID-19 cases and 245 virus-related deaths on January 6.

The province has now seen a total of 107,501 cases and 1,193 deaths since the pandemic began.

Albertans will be able to view the live press conference at the YourAlberta YouTube channel or on Kenney’s Facebook page at 4 pm MST.
