After a network-wide “computer technical issue” caused Air Canada flights to be delayed and cancelled on Tuesday evening, the airline tweeted shortly before 10 pm PST that its “operations and affected network systems are beginning to return to normal.”

However, the airline warned that customers should still expect some flight delays and cancellations for the next little while.
“We are working hard to move as many customers as possible this evening and we are putting on additional capacity to transport customers affected tonight on flights tomorrow,” the company tweeted.
Air Canada also advised travellers to check their flight’s status before going to the airport.
The outage was first reported around 7:30 pm PST, and affected the airline’s airport operations, check-in, and customer call centres.
