20 bucket list eats you need to try in Calgary in 2020

It’s finally the beginning of a new decade in YYC, which means we all get to reset, and most importantly, plan some exciting dining occasions over the next 12 months.

There are hundreds of things we could tell you to eat in Calgary, but these are some of our favourites.

Trendy, legendary, or simply damn delicious, here are 20 things to eat in Calgary in 2020.

Tsujiri, known for its teas, treats, and eats made from green tea leaves from Uji in Kyoto, is now open in YYC. Patrons love this spot for eats like the signature Matcha Parfait and the O-Matcha Float, along with lots and lots of cakes. Customers can also expect eats like the brand’s Opera Cake and bouncy Matcha Souffle Pancakes served with ice cream, to name a few.

The sister business to Calgary’s Annex Ale Project, Annex Soda has both alcoholic and non-alcoholic bevies, along with a selection of beer and grub from in-house food window by Empire Provisions aptly named Lil’ Empire Burger.

Seasonal spot Nights & Weekends has been moonlighting inside Vancouver-based sandwich joint Meat & Bread for a while, but the eatery is now operating out of Bridgeland’s Shiki Menya. The menu changes here, but if you happen to see this bao on the menu be sure to try it.
