Your Damned if you do and Damned if you Don't

This housing quagmire has gone on too long. So the minister proposes some changes but the poverty pimps cry foul. Not so fast minister, who are you to tell the homeless freezing there asses off to get inside a warm shelter. Isn’t that what you wanted? Jeez, make up your fucking mind. Read what you want into that GregEh.Apparently this infringes on the rights of the homeless, however sometimes these individuals are not in the right frame of mind to make that decision are they not?

Now I realize that this is only one part of the “solution” and it seems barbaric, but sometimes a kick in the ass is what people need homeless or not. Further, this issue requires much, much more and Vancouver can not do it alone. The entire metro region needs a plan and must engage with the NIMBY’s. We need more mental health facilities. We need more rehabilitation and societal integration programs. Open up Riverview god dammit! However, all this costs money i.e. taxes, something the activists seem to forget because they were to busy not working for “the man” whilst mooching off of family wealth. Working for a living is not a new concept, hell if an immigrant who just got off the plane can land a job I’m sure you patriotic Canadians can too. Pure fuckery!

I voted for Gregor because I believe he would be able to tackle this issue. Let’s hope that he can do something about it. Right now the only good things he has done is brought the UFC to Vancouver (possibily) and the Burrard bridge bike lane. There is plenty of time Mr. Mayor lets just hope you show some “vision”.

On that note Urban Dweller is back.
