Late night stabbing in Yaletown sends three men to hospital

Vancouver Police are looking for witnesses after an early morning altercation in Yaletown sent three men to hospital, including one in serious condition.

Earlier today, just after 1:30 am, two separate groups met while walking in the area of Mainland Street and Nelson Street.

Men from each group began to fight each other; the conflict escalated and three men were stabbed.

A 29-year-old from Surrey, a 25-year-old from Vancouver, and a 26-year-old from Richmond were all taken to hospital for their injuries.

The individuals from Richmond and Vancouver were treated for minor injuries and have since been released. The Surrey man remains in hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Overall, six men have been arrested, although they’ve been released without charges.

Police have not released any names or further information and explain that the investigation is on-going.
