WWE boss Triple H was impressed by Vancouver crowd at Survivor Series

This past weekend’s WWE event in Vancouver was a smashing success by the numbers.

Saturday’s Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 at Rogers Arena set an all-time North American arena-gate record for the WWE. It was a sold-out show with just under 18,000 fans in attendance, marking WWE’s 63rd sellout of the year.

It beat the previous arena-gate record set at the Money in the Bank 2024 event in Toronto.

“Canada always delivers, Vancouver [is] no different,” said Paul Levesque, better known by his wrestling name Triple H, following the event.

“Been a long time since we’ve been here in Vancouver, something that we wanted to fix and come here with a big event, and they certainly delivered tonight.”

It was the first time Vancouver was selected to host a marquee WWE pay-per-view event. The fans showed out by not only turning up in massive numbers but also with their noise as the building was rocking.

At one point, a “J.T. Miller” chant even broke out. The star Vancouver Canucks forward is away from the team on personal leave but is still clearly on the top of sports fans’ minds in the city.

The amazing reception from the city has Triple H thinking it might not be too long before the WWE returns with another event. When asked if the WWE could come back to Vancouver, maybe even to BC Place instead of Rogers Arena, he was open to the possibility.

“Certainly [it is],  with the reception we got here tonight, certainly with 17,000 plus fans here, and you know they were loud all night long,” he said about the possibility of another major show in Vancouver.

“This crowd is unbelievable; hopefully that translated at home. It was definitely a great night here, so the prospect of us coming back is high.”

Wrestling fans in the city would definitely welcome another event at Rogers Arena. In the meantime, the WWE is visiting another Canadian city, Toronto, for a big event next March. It’s the first WWE Event at Rogers Centre since 2002.
