Woodward’s Old "W" is Back

In a case of the old meeting the new, the original Woodward’s W is now on display in front of what I think is the best building to be built in Vancouver in a very long time. Not only is the building architecturally striking, it also represents a shift, or transition if you will for an entire neighbourhood.

The old “W” is surrounded by a glass at the bottom and can be seen on Cordova Street right next to the tower. As you can see it looks as if it was left as is as the retired sits in the shadows of the new “W” and reminisces the times it had as it sat atop the historic department store.
