Early estimates suggest that between 10,000 and 20,000 took to the streets of Vancouver today.
The march, in solidarity with the huge Women’s March in Washington DC and other protests around the globe, aimed to stand up to the kind of misogynistic rhetoric seen during the US election.
It was timed to coincide with Donald Trump’s first full day in office.

The crowds gathered at Jack Poole Plaza at 10 am, from there they marched to the newly completed Trump Tower on 1161 West Georgia Street before returning back to the plaza.
