According to Constable Tania Visintin with the VPD, the victim is now in hospital in “serious condition” after she was hit by a car near Grandview Highway and Renfrew Street on November 18 at 6:45 pm.

She was walking along the centre median on Grandview Highway and crossed through westbound traffic to the north side of Grandview Highway when she was struck by the Subaru.

Alcohol and speed have been ruled out as factors.

“The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with our investigators,” said Visintin.

Anyone who has information or was driving in the area at the time of the collision, and has dashcam video, is requested to contact investigators at 604-717-3012 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
