According to a release, a fight between two residents occurred at 215 Princess Avenue just before noon today. The woman involved was stabbed inside the building and then fled out the front door and collapsed on the street.

She was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.

“The victim and suspect live in separate suites in the building and it is not clear if the two are known to each other,” the statement reads. “The motive for the attack has not been confirmed.”

A 42-year-old man was later arrested and police have confirmed that they will be recommending a charge of murder.
