Environment Canada has issued a wind warning over parts of Metro Vancouver.
In a special alert, the national weather agency said an “intense front” will approach Vancouver Island early Tuesday and cross the Lower Mainland Tuesday night.

“The front will bring rain and strong winds for most of Tuesday, with the strongest winds expected Tuesday afternoon and evening,” said Environment Canada.
The warning is in effect for:
- Metro Vancouver – southeast including Surrey and Langley
- Metro Vancouver – southwest including Richmond and Delta
“Winds of 70 km/h near exposed coastal areas will develop near noon Tuesday and ease late Tuesday evening,” the agency said.
Winds are expected to ease Tuesday night as the front passes.
