Dec 6 2017, 4:09 am

You don’t have to wait until Christmas Day to dust off your Santa suit. Whistler’s annual Dress like Santa Day returns on Saturday, December 16!

The first 100 skiers or snowboarders to arrive at the Garibaldi Lift Company at the base of Whistler Mountain will get a free lift ticket.

That is, provided they’ve donned their finest Santa or Mrs. Claus attire.

“This is our way of saying thank you to Santa and Mrs. Claus for the epic journey they make each Christmas Eve, and to make sure they get to carve a few turns for themselves this year,” said Pete Sonntag, Whistler Blackcomb Chief Operating Officer, in a release.

Once tickets are given out, all skiers and riders dressed as Santa or Mrs. Claus are invited to upload on the Whistler Village Gondola at 8 am.

Then, they can ski or ride to the bottom of the Emerald Express for a group photo and giveaways.

Participants of all ages are welcome to dress up and join in on the holiday fun.

Lift tickets will be given out on a first come, first serve basis, with the lineup opening at 7 am. No registration necessary.
