The world record breaking Peak to Peakgondola from Whistler to Blackcomb is now officially open. The journey takes approximately 11 minutes. Expect to see more of the breathtaking beauty that is British Columbia.Each Peak 2 Peak Sky cabin can carry up to 28 people and will do so at a speed almost double the Village Gondola.
Some of the records it broke were:
1. Longest continuous lift system
2. Highest Vertical Point at 436 metres
3. Longest Unsupported Freespan at 3.024 km
No doubt this will attract further tourists up to Whistler this year.
