Whistler Mountain Bike Park opens for the season this weekend

Listen up, mountain bikers!

The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is opening once again for the summer season this weekend.

Riders hoping to hit the trails can get ahead of the game and purchase their pass before opening day. Then, once the lifts start turning, all you have to do is show up, head straight to the lift and start bagging lap after lap.

However, be aware that brand new passes will be required for everyone this year, and that passes from previous years can’t be reloaded.

The reason?

“Previous bike park passes will not work due to a change in scanning gate technology,” said Whistler Blackcomb on its website. “You must sign a new release of liability waiver in person at Whistler Village Guest Services before visiting the bike park.”
