Vancouverites, it’s time to enter full festive mode.
Christmas trees filled with glittering lights are popping up around the city, and you can hear carols playing in so many stores as the most wonderful time of the year is fast-approaching.
Everything is set to be merry and bright over in Kitsilano, too, as the West 4th Business Improvement Association (BIA) is hosting its annual Kitsmas event, on right now through to December 24.
The highly-anticipated month-long event is designed to make holiday shopping a little easier, and more merry and decorative. Oh, and it even includes free valet parking on select dates! Seriously.
Plus, there’s going to be mistletoe on every block along West 4th. Mistletoe will also be adorning the front of every shop along the street, which means you and the love of your life will have a lot more fun stopping into the shops as you check off your shopping lists!
And if the kids want to write a letter to the big guy in the North Pole, they can mail it directly to Santa in any of the red mailboxes located along West 4th, at Burrard, Maple and Yew intersections. It’s a direct route to the North Pole, and West 4th will handle the postage.
You can be sure Santa will write back, along with a gift from the merchants of West 4th Ave!
To make it even better, (because we know how Vancouver parking can be a nightmare) there’s going to be FREE valet parking on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays on West 4th and Maple.
You’ll have the chance to give back by making a donation to Canuck Place either at the valet parking area or in one of the merchants on the street with a donation box on their counter.
Merry Kitsmas to all, and to all a good…shopping experience!
