5 wedding favours your guests can actually use

In a previous article, we talked about guest favours as a detail to skip if you’re trying to save a bit of cash. However, if favours are a must-have for your big day, we suggest opting for something that your guests will at least find useful and won’t just stuff in the junk drawer when they get home.

To help, here are our suggestions for five wedding favours your guests might actually use.

1. Edible/drinkable

Edible favours are a win-win as far as we’re concerned. They’re one of the most useful favours you can give, and your wedding guests will agree as they savour the deliciousness. Think beautifully packaged macarons, a jar of hot chocolate mix, mini cakes, a tin of mints or mini champs bottles.

2. Bottle Openers

These are pretty self explanatory and again, serve as a handy tool around the house. Bottle openers come in various shapes and sizes so you can choose a design that ties in with your wedding aesthetic. Have your names and wedding date or a simple thank you message engraved on them to help your guests remember your special day every time they reach for a cold one.

3. Matches

Matches are something everyone has around their house and they always come in handy. Have the matchbox or cover custom designed with a photo or some clever copy and your wedding date, reminding your guests that you’re the perfect match.

4. Soaps

Anything that smells good hits the mark for us. Combine your favourite ingredients and scents to create custom bars of soap for your guests. Wrap them beautifully and you’ve got something great on your hands.

5. Plants

What’s better than a favour that will live on? Leave your guests with a baby tree to plant at home or in their community, or a mini succulent. A great reminder to let love grow.
