The Vancouver Warriors are expecting a massive crowd at Rogers Arena this weekend.

The city’s lacrosse team is opening certain sections in the upper bowl at their home arena for the first time in franchise history. They’re anticipating a large crowd arriving at Rogers Arena as the Warriors host the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday, April 19, at 5 p.m.

Typically, the Warriors open just the lower bowl of Rogers Arena, giving the stadium a maximum capacity of roughly 9,000. On Saturday, more sections in the upper bowl will be opened to increase the capacity.

Tickets are available online in sections 301, 329, and 330, indicating that seats behind one of the nets in the upper bowl have been made available.

ā€œOpening the upper bowl is a testament to the passion of our fans and the desire of the City of Vancouver and entire Lower Mainland to get behind the Warriors as they head into the playoffs,ā€ said President of Canucks Sports & Entertainment, Business Operations Michael Doyle in a press release.

ā€œWe couldn’t be more excited to welcome even more of our incredible fanbase to Rogers Arena as we celebrate them on Fan Appreciation Night.ā€

Tickets for the big game are on sale now and start at just $20. Saturday is also Fan Appreciation Night, which means the club has lots of fun extras planned.

To start, the Warriors are hosting a Party on the Plaza, which starts at 3:30 pm. There will be music and face painting outside the arena. In addition, fans can bring their own container to get filled with popcorn up to a maximum of two pounds for just $13.99.

There will also be tons of giveaways and prizes throughout the night. After the game, the players will give their game-worn jerseys to select season ticket members.

The Warriors made the move back to Rogers Arena in 2021 and have stayed ever since. This year has been their most successful since their return, as they’ve won five straight games and have the chance to secure a playoff game at home with a victory over the Wings.

The Warriors ‘ late-season push has been led by midseason trade acquisition Christian Del Bianco. The former league MVP was acquired from the Calgary Roughnecks and has yet to lose with the Warriors.
