VPD search for high risk offender who left East Van halfway house

Vancouver police are requesting the public’s help in locating a high-risk offender after she did not return to her halfway house in East Vancouver.

According to police, 37-year-old Justina Ellis left the halfway house on Sunday. She is currently wanted Canada-wide for failure to comply with her Long Term Supervision Order.

Ellis is described as:

• Indigenous
• 5’4″ tall, weighing 135 pounds
• Brown hair and brown eyes
• Last seen wearing a black oversized hooded jacket and blue jeans, carrying a purse

Ellis has a history of violent behaviour and anyone who sees her or knows her whereabouts should call 9-1-1 immediately.
