Two men arrested in connection with 2019 murder of Vancouver man

Vancouver police have arrested two people in relation to a 2019 homicide that took the life of 43-year-old Fizul Mohammed.

On Friday, VPD said 26-year-old Vancouver resident Shaikh Hussain and 24-year-old Vancouver resident Trent Harper had both been arrested in connection to Mohammed’s death. Both have been charged with counts of second-degree murder.

Mohammed was murdered on November 28, 2019.

Police said he was injured in the Downtown Eastside, but officers had been called to Robson Street and Denman Street, where he was found in medical distress.

At that point, Mohammed was taken to hospital, where he died.

Police have not offered any further details at this point in the investigation, other to say that both men are currently in custody.
