The big day is almost here, folks — only one more sleep until Vancouver Mural Festival’s Street Party!

In case you haven’t heard about the VMF’s street party, here’s the deal — this party, spanning 14 blocks across Main Street and Mount Pleasant, is going to be epic. With live music, art installations, community vendors, and even a pop-up roller rink, the VMF street party is going to have everything and anything you’d want to get out of a summer block soirée.

But, listen, we get it — there’s a lot going on at this thing, and we know it’s tough to figure out your top priorities for the day.

So we took the liberty of deciding that for you.

Here are the top 10 activities we strongly recommend. We aren’t forcing you to do these or anything, but if you don’t do every single thing on this list, then you probably shouldn’t even go.

We’re kidding. Kind of.

Now that we’re done taking you on an emotional rollercoaster, here’s a breakdown of our top ten activities:

4 Elements of Hip Hop

What: This is a free daytime jam for all ages. Come honour the four elements of Hip Hop — Breakdancing, DJ’ing, MC’ing, Graffiti.

Main Alley VCBW Beer Garden

Bondi Beach party

What: VMF is bringing the beach to Mount Pleasant — except it’s even better than the real beach because it’ll have a licensed area for drinking. For all you competitive people out there, they’ll also be hosting a Spike Ball tournament. It’s also free, which is a lot cheaper than buying a plane ticket to the real Bondi Beach.

Where: 123 E.6th parking lot

VMF Gallery

What: This gallery features 90+ original works from VMF alumni and other local talents. Art is available for purchase — so if you’re in the market for a new painting, or need to spruce up your living room, make sure to stop by.

Flash Tattoo

What: It’s day two of VMF flash tattoo pop-up, where dozens of tattoo artists post up to permanently ink hundreds of people, really really quickly. Prices vary by artist.
