A three-day diversity certification training series is being held virtually in Vancouver later this month.

The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s (GVBOT) Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council is hosting virtual instructor-led training on diversity in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI).

The program is an individual certification training, meaning those who attend all three sessions will receive a CCDI Foundation Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion.

The first session will focus on Diversity and Inclusion Fundamentals, the second provides an Introduction to Unconscious Bias, and the third focuses on Respect in the Workplace.

The GVBOT’s Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council was created in May 2020 to focus on addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion to encourage allyship and enhance business innovation.

“In these unprecedented times, we are confident these programs will positively impact our community,” says Bridgitte Anderson, president and CEO of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.

“Championing diversity and inclusion will help ensure Greater Vancouver can thrive in the future and be the best place to live and do business.”
