A giant Ferris wheel is coming to Sunset Beach this week

Vancouver’s Sunset Beach is getting a new temporary centrepiece for one-day-only this week – and it’s all for a good cause.

Variety, “the Children’s charity, is bringing a 60-ft-tall Ferris wheel to the beach on Friday, October 4 to mark the conclusion of Variety Week. From 12 noon until 10 pm, the public can ride the attraction by an optional donation towards the charity.

Variety steps in where health care ends providing direct help to children with special needs in BC. Since 2010, Variety has distributed over $30 million in funding to families and organizations across the province.

Aside from being able to enjoy unique views of the city, attendees will be able to enjoy carnival attractions, concessions, musical guests and the “Club Heartly Kids Korner.”

This year, Accent Inns will also offer non-stop family activities while The Gaming Stadium will offer guests an exciting and interactive esports experience all while helping BC’s kids with special needs.

Call 310-KIDS or donate online at variety.bc.ca or text KIDS to 45678 to make an automatic $20 donation. Donations can also be made in person at the Variety Week Wrap Party.
