It is a well-known fact that connections make the business world go round. Meeting the right people and expanding your networks can mean the difference between making it to the top and being stuck in the middle of the pack. But for many young women looking to excel in the male-dominated business world, figuring out how to effectively forge those networks can be a challenge.

That’s where the Women Against MS luncheon comes in. On November 20, the city’s best and brightest will gather at Vancouver’s Terminal City Club to mingle with likeminded women from a wide variety of industries, bid on amazing silent auction items, and enjoy delicious food and wine. It is one of the most fun and glamorous networking events of the season, and it raises money for a great cause to boot. All of the funds raised will go towards multiple sclerosis research, with the aim of ending a disease that affects Canadian women more than any other demographic in the world.

Beyond good conversations and good deeds, the afternoon will also be a master class from two of the best minds in the business world on how to realize your full potential in the workplace.

Nancy Vonk and Janet Kestin are the powerhouses behind Dove’s groundbreaking Campaign for Real Beauty. Since masterminding the award-winning ads, Vonk and Kestin have become experts in helping women break down the invisible barriers to success. Now, they are bringing their knowledge to the heart of downtown Vancouver with a talk centered on becoming fearless in the workplace.
