A contest for Vancouver's youth entrepreneurs

Startup Skool, an organization that aims to transform youth into critical thinkers, problem solvers, and creators has teamed up with Boldly Creative to launch ‘Holiday Pitch It,’ a spectacular new contest geared towards youth entrepreneurs.

Participants ages 10 to 17 will be given the chance to pitch their next big idea for a chance to win one of three prizes. Each prize includes one on one mentorship with the Startup Skool team and $500 to bring their concept to life.

Entering the contest is simple. With permission from their legal guardian, young entrepreneurs can apply by submitting a persuasive one-minute pitch video that explains their business idea and why they are the perfect person to make it happen.

Just by submitting, all participants will be invited to a free one-day online business bootcamp with the Startup Skool team and surprise guests.

Students will be judged simply on the originality, feasibility, and presentation of their pitch. After all, a great idea shouldn’t be about a social media popularity contest, it should be about the only thing that matters: the idea.

This is a great opportunity for young students who are looking for early exposure to an entrepreneurial way of thinking and the startup world here in Vancouver, and across Canada.

The contest is on now and runs until January 13, 2016.
