The Vancouver Whitecaps can’t seem to catch a break.
They’ve suffered a number of injuries this season. During their last contest, in Canadian Championship action, they lost All-Star defender Tristan Blackmon.
Now, their international superstar, Thomas Müller is going to miss the next match due to injury.
Whitecaps team reporter Satira Patel reports that Müller won’t travel with the team to Kansas City this weekend because of an adductor injury.

Thankfully for Whitecaps fans, the report suggests that Müller’s absence this weekend is seen as being precautionary, and he’s listed as day-to-day.
The injury news does come as a bit of a surprise, considering that Müller posted on Instagram on Thursday about traveling with the team to Kansas City.
“I’m ready for my first away game in the MLS,” Müller said. “Let‘s fly to Kansas City!”
While Müller did not play for the Whitecaps during their 4-0 win in the Canadian Championship over Forge FC, he was on the bench as an available substitute.
The 36-year-old German has lived up to his star status since joining the Whitecaps. He has four goals in three games with the club. That includes a birthday hat-trick over the league-leading Philadelphia Union in a commanding 7-0 win for the Whitecaps.
Vancouver takes on Sporting Kansas City on Saturday at 5:30 pm, before flying back home to take on the Portland Timbers at BC Place on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
