What: Vancouver International Wine Festival is filling glasses for its 47th year, and there’s so much for connoisseurs to discover.
There are over 100 wineries from 14 countries featured at this year’s VIWF, with winery dinners, seminars, minglers, and more from March 7 to 14.

HSBC SVNS Vancouver 2026
What: One of the most electrifying events in Vancouver’s sports calendar is just around the corner, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.
HSBC SVNS Vancouver 2026 is roaring into BC Place from March 7 to 8 with the most unique sporting atmosphere in the city.
This is the 11th year of the wildly popular rugby sevens tournament, and some of the best rugby players in the world will participate in the Vancouver stop. So learn the chants, wave the flags, and get ready to bring the energy.

Festival du Bois

Gender Equity in Media Festival

GemFest
What: Gender Equity in Media Society Vancouver presents its 21st annual festival from March 5 to 8 at VIFF Centre. It’s your chance to catch rising film stars and support women and gender-diverse filmmakers from around the world. There will also be panels, a pitch forum, and more.

Art Soul Methods – Social Mixer 6.0

Warrior Festival
What: The Cultch’s second annual Warrior Festival celebrates the strength of women and gender-expansive artists with six funny and fierce shows this month at York Theatre, Historic Theatre, and Vancity Culture Lab.
This year’s festival includes the frank theatre company’s Tomboy (Chłopczyca) (March 4 to 8), The Search Party’s People, Places and Things (March 10 to 22), and Troupe Courage’s The Horse of Jenin (March 25 to 29).

Smut Slam
What: Smut Slam, the adult-only storytelling open mic, was created by award-winning playwright, performer, sex activist and educator Cameryn Moore. Consenting Slammers sign up at the event to tell a five-minute dirty story, based on real life.
The audience can also ask a question or share a confession in the F-BUCKET, which will be anonymously read out on stage. The open and inclusive event is hosted by DD Brassiere.

Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC
What: The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC is a fun and refreshing way to raise important funds to assist athletes with intellectual disabilities develop skills and belonging through year-round sport, youth, and health programs.
By participating in the #Plunge4SOBC, you’ll make a difference for athletes with intellectual disabilities and open hearts and minds to their abilities.
There are several events and individual Plunges across the province, including the Vancouver Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC at Kitsilano Beach on Saturday, March 7.
