Big Splash Water Park

Big Splash Water Slide Park

What: Big Splash Water Slide Park in Tsawwassen is ready for the summer season. The seven-acre resort-style park features 13 body and tube slides, a kids’ zone, hot tubs, and more to help you beat the heat.

Big Splash’s highlight is the Boomerango, an exhilarating tube slide with a six-storey drop. According to the park, it’s the only one of its kind in Western Canada.

Black Music Month Festival

What: The ninth annual Black Music Month Festival showcases a lineup of emerging and established artists at City Centre Artists Lodge.

This year’s theme, “Black to Da Future,” honours the past, present, and future of Afro-diasporic music and artistic innovation. From soul, rock and roll, punk and electronic, to storytelling and cultural expression, BMMV26 is where history meets the future.

Surrey Soccer Fan Zones

What: The City of Surrey is turning three public spaces into gathering places for soccer fans during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

On select dates from June 11 to July 19, during the tournament period, the municipal government will host “Surrey Soccer Fan Zones” — offering free public viewing events where residents and visitors can watch matches together throughout the tournament.

Four primary locations will serve as the city’s fan zones: Surrey Civic Plaza, Cloverdale Agriplex, Holland Park, and South Surrey Athletic Park. Each fan zone will broadcast matches live on large LED screens and include additional activities designed to create a festival-style atmosphere.

VIFF – ’90s, Baby!

What: Strap in, film lovers, because Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) is transporting audiences back to the ’90s this summer.

The celebration at VIFF Centre – Vancity Theatre includes dozens of all-time classics from the decade, including comedies, indie darlings, and action blockbusters, screening until Aug. 31, 2026.

The series proceeds chronologically through the summer, highlighting important cinematic landmarks like Titanic, Schindler’s List, Dazed and Confused, and more.

What: Time to pick up your magnifying glass, detectives! An official Netflix murder mystery dinner is happening in Vancouver, and you’re invited to take a bite out of crime.

Secret City Adventures is collaborating with Netflix on the event, which will see guests watching a murder case unfold while deciphering clues. Of course, they will also enjoy a delicious dinner that is simply to die for.

Vancouver Rise vs. AFC Toronto

What: Vancouver Rise continue their Northern Super League season this month with a match against AFC Toronto on Sunday, June 28 at Swangard Stadium.

South Granville Plaza Premiere Opening Party

What: Celebrate the neighborhood’s new plaza at Granville Street and West 14th Avenue. The celebration starts at noon and runs until 6 p.m, with admission completely free.

The South Granville party features live performers, an iced matcha bar, live artists, vendors, and more. It’s the perfect opportunity to check out the neighbourhood’s living room, reimagined.

Queer Arts Festival

What: Queer Arts Festival is an annual artist-run transdisciplinary celebration in Vancouver. This year’s event is themed “On the Edge” and includes a community art show, drag, a queer clothing swap, live concerts, and more throughout June.

Surrey’s Heritage Rail

What: Take a trip back through time by riding Surrey’s Heritage Interurban rail car.

Heritage Rail Adventure trips take place on Saturdays and feature a tour of the Cloverdale railway station, a trip on the B.C. Electric Intraurban Railcar, and more. Sullivan Excursions happen on Sundays and feature a 55-minute sightseeing ride to Sullivan Park and back.

There will also be live musical performances every week.

Pitchside Patio at Bentall Centre

What: Bentall Centre is bringing the excitement of international soccer to downtown Vancouver with Pitchside Patio, a free outdoor viewing party on select dates through July 15.

Guests at the Dunsmuir Patio can watch featured tournament matches on a 12-foot outdoor screen with sound on while enjoying lounge seating, turf viewing areas, food features, and a licensed bar by FUNK Coffee Bar.

With over 20 matches scheduled throughout the tournament, Pitchside Patio offers a lively community gathering space for fans to celebrate the world’s biggest soccer moments together.

What: The annual Velopalooza Festival of Bike Fun promotes bicycle events and community rides in and around Vancouver. This year’s lineup of activities includes bicycle polo, Critical Mass, and the popular Bike Rave.

What: The Golden Spike Days Festival is one of the oldest and longest-running family events in B.C. It is held at Rocky Point Park around Canada Day and attracts upwards of 40,000 people from all walks of life. The festival features live entertainment, special events, and activities for all ages.

The Really Gay History Walking Tour

What: Forbidden Vancouver Walking Tours presents a guided celebration of the unsung heroes who helped change the social fabric of the city, including drag kings, two-spirit warriors, queer church ministers and transgender crime fighters. Led by guide Glenn Tkach, guests will discover the gayest beer parlour in town, learn about pioneers of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and more.

Riley Park Farmers Market – Summer
